Oh. My. GOODNESS. I am on a great book streak! I have read my share of King Arthur re-tellings. Legendborn blows them all away. Witty, emotional, action-packed, with prose that slips easily between introspection and fights with demons and magic, I experienced the full spectrum of emotion while reading this book. And when the final twist happens? 😱😍🤯 Is all I will say. This book is raw, powerful, and beautiful. I laughed out loud at moments. Its characters ensnared me and leapt from the page, Bree especially is the kind of heroine I want to read for hundreds and hundreds of pages.
Most of all, Legendborn proves to me that the state of young adult fantasy is STRONG.
